AN ERROR ANALYSIS OF ARABIC WRITING BY ISLAMIC VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This research examined different types of writing errors performed by Islamic Vocational High School students undertaking the Arabic course. The current study also discussed plausible causes committed students. A mixed-method approach was used to investigate and analyze a corpus students’ writing. data were collected through documentation obtained from essays tenth eleventh-grade with 40 respondents. employed error analysis steps Corder as framework deal deviated grammatical rules, including collecting, identifying, classifying, quantifying data, analyzing sources errors. results showed that most dominant spelling, 35.44%, followed 28.16% in phrases, 22.81% sentence structures, 13.59% agreement. Several possible such include overgeneralization, ignorance rule restrictions, incomplete application false concepts hypothesized.
